So much pretty in this wedding shot by our great friend and amazing Photographer Elizabeth Lloyd! I love Teitiare as a wedding venue and there are just so many different ways to make it spectacular, unique, gorgeous, and special. Every wedding is different and each one seems to be my favorite one ever! Nellie & Kyle were from NYC and Canada with lots of guests from BC and Toronto as well as New York – a fun and diverse crowd that loved Sayulita and had a great time celebrating the love of these two beautiful people. Special traditions from the Bride’s Persian heritage were woven through the ceremony and reception, including a touching speech from the Mother of the Bride in both Persian and English. As always, a huge thanks to our world-class team at SDW and all of our partner vendors [vendor credits below] for coming together to create such a stunning setting for Nellie & Kyle’s celebration!
Happy First Anniversary to Donna & Brandon! This world-traveling couple wanted a fun-filled wedding that showcased their love of surf and integrated elements of the Bride’s Chinese heritage, while expressing an overall vibe of classic elegance. Villa del Oso was the perfect venue and the wedding was simply gorgeous. Catering & Bar by Don Pedro’s, Flowers by Flor Mimo, Bridal Party Styling by Jenn Chivers, Event Design/Planning, Custom Signage and Lighting by Sayulita Dream Weddings. Welcome Party at La TerrazOla and Sailing Charter on Ally Cat Sailing. Most Photos by Ryan Alonso Photography, some by Sayulita Dream Weddings.
Seriously – those shoes, right? Showstoppers. It’s taken me a while to get this one up on the blog, but I think it’s worth the wait. Casa de los Delfines was the perfect canvas of a venue for Ed & Jessica’s intimate wedding with an elegant hacienda design concept. Mariachis set the mood under oversized tin stars which twinkled over the dance floor later in the evening. Naef Cuisine catered the reception dinner & bar and crafted the Papel-Picado design wedding cake. Flor Mimo set the tablescapes with endless amounts of bottles for an abundant and intimate feel. We set up a long feasting table (my favorite setup for this venue) and had custom parota wood runners made to bring in a natural element to the tables. Jessica ordered vintage Mexican postcards on etsy for their guests to write well wishes, which were then dropped into the vintage mail box to be posted from Sayulita back to their home in Chicago. Love and details expertly captured by Puerto Vallarta’s own Paulina Ulloa Photography.
Happy 2-Year Anniversary to Danielle and Brian of San Francisco! What a beautiful walk down memory lane it was to scour through their photos looking for images for this post. So much deliciousness from the fabulous Elizabeth Lloyd, who we had the pleasure of working with just last Friday for Patricia and Chris’s wedding at Casa Ilusion.
Danielle & Brian’s wedding was a simply stunning affair at the incomparably gorgeous Villa Romance in Punta Mita’s Ranchos estates. The villa is owned by the founding owner of Sayulita’s Villa Amor so you can imagine how beautifully decorated it is. Aside from the amazing house – which features an awesome man-cave / wine cellar / cigar room, and a hidden staircase leading to a loft, tucked inside what looks to be a closet door – the grounds are spectacular, with a sprawling green lawn stretching lazily toward the white sand beach in front of Mita’s favorite surf break, La Lancha. Danielle & Brian were the sweetest couple, so great to work with and really laid back. They just wanted a fabulous party for their friends and family with amazing food in a killer setting. A twelve-piece Mariachi set the mood for cocktail hour, with The Mango Trio laying down grooves for dinner, and a DJ rounding out the night. Don Pedro’s catered a fabulous dinner and we brought in the illustrious Chef Eric Brown of Don Chow’s to set up a fresh sashimi station during cocktail hour… makes my mouth water just thinking about it. Naef Cuisine’s champagne cupcakes capped off the night, along with fresh-made churros. Gloria from Concepto Floral created the stunningly vibrant bouquets and centerpieces, as well as the traditional handheld chuppah that the wedding party carried down the aisle and held over the couple during the wedding ceremony.

Christine + Adam are an adorable couple from Chicago, and they threw a fabulous party for their family and friends. They were super chill and lots of fun to work with, and had an easy-going sense of style that translated into a chic and modern event. Jillian Mitchell did a rockin’ job of capturing the details and sweet moments of the day – I love their smiles in all the photos, like they are sharing the best secret and making each other laugh through the whole thing, which I’m pretty sure they were, if I got to know Adam at all… After dinner, Jillian set up a killer photobooth with a particularly well-edited assortment of awesome props that inspired the guests to really cut loose. The photo of the SDW team down below is one of my faves. Gloria from Concepto Floral knocked it out of the park with the gorgeous bouquet and centerpieces.
