I’m poking my head out of the wedding-season sand (which has kept me busy and this blog neglected) to give a 2-year anniversary shout-out to Tanvee + Sean, who had a stunningly beautiful Hindu wedding at Punta de Mita’s Hotel des Artistes (now Hotel Cinco). Every detail of this festive affair was lush, gorgeous, and meticulously planned. The traditional Hindu ceremony took place on the roof of the hotel, where we constructed a stage-floor on top of the huge infinity-edge pool. Guests were greeted with fresh cold coconuts and a sitar duo. Dinner was on the terrace of the Café des Artistes del Mar restaurant, with a rich palette of fuchsia and gold setting the tone for the reception. After a few pre-wedding week tastings and cooking sessions with the Mother of the Bride in the CdaM kitchen, Executive Chef Gerardo Sandoval Fernández and his staff pulled off a scrumptious authentic Indian meal including samosas, sea bass curry, and saag paneer. Guests danced the night away to a mix of Bollywood soundtrack and modern club hits on a light-up dance floor under the stars, just steps from the sand. A fabulous fireworks show capped off a perfect evening. Happy Anniversary, Tanvee & Sean!!
